Our Story

The story of Deeredge begins not with a business plan, but with a dusty key and a forgotten attic chest. Our founder, inheriting his grandfather’s quiet cottage nestled against the woods, discovered this chest tucked away under the eaves. It wasn’t filled with gold, but with something far more valuable: a lifetime of craft. Inside lay hand-stitched leather journals, intricately carved wooden figures, and pouches smelling richly of pine and oiled leather.

His grandfather, it turned out, was a “Story-Keeper.” He believed that the best objects weren’t just made; they were born from adventure and imagination. Each piece in the chest had a name and a purpose, sketched and detailed in the journals. There was the “Wayfarer’s Satchel,” designed to mold perfectly to its wearer’s side on long journeys. There was the “Hearthstone Cup,” carved from a fallen oak, meant for sharing stories by the fire. He didn’t just create objects; he crafted artifacts for adventures that were yet to be lived.

This discovery was a revelation. In a world of mass-produced goods, here was a legacy of items with soul. This is the principle upon which Deeredge was founded. We have taken up the Story-Keeper’s mantle, seeking out and collaborating with hidden artisans—masterful craftspeople who still believe in the magic of working with their hands. Each item in our collection is either made by us, following the timeless techniques from those journals, or curated from a fellow creator who shares our ethos.

We believe an adventurer’s gear is part of their story. The sturdy cloak that shields you from the wind on a misty hilltop, the leather-bound journal that holds your thoughts and maps, the hand-forged amulet that completes your LARP persona—these are not just accessories. They are companions on your journey. When you choose an item from Deeredge, you’re not just buying a product; you’re adopting a piece of a story and, more importantly, acquiring the perfect artifact to begin writing your own.

Welcome to the fellowship.
